Class 10 Students Of Odisha Board Protest In Front Of Naveen Niwas

Bhubaneswar: The Class 10 students under the Odisha Board staged a protest in front of Naveen Nivas, the residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.

According to reports, they wanted clarification on the stance of the government on whether the Matriculations exams will be held or not.

It is to be noted that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian School Certificate Examinations (CICSE) final examination have been cancelled this year due to the rising Covid infections. The promotion shall be effected on the basis of internal marks.

The Chief Minister had announced on April 15 to postpone all Class X examinations under the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).

However the School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said that the matter is under consideration. A decision shall soon be taken.

He also added that he has received a memorandum letter from the school children and shall act upon it as soon as possible.
