Rayagada: In a tragic incident, a Class 10 student of a residential school at Kopapadar village under Bissam Cuttack block in Rayagada district has lost his life after falling from the hostel roof on Thursday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Bharat Bidika of Ghantikhal village.
Reportedly, he was staying at the school hostel to appear for the matric examination.
Earlier on Thursday evening at 8 am, he was found lying after falling from the hostel roof. The school authorities immediately rushed him to Bissam Cuttack Community Health Centre (CHC) in an 108 emergency ambulance.
He was rushed in an ambulance to Bissam Cuttack Community Health Centre (CHC). However, the doctors pronounced him brought dead.
On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into mysterious death case. The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, locals have demanded a probe into the incident.
