Keonjhar: With no respite in site from growing sexual assault against minors in the State, a Class-10 girl has been gang raped by a group of men in Joda area of Keonjhar district last night.
As per the report, the victim was en-route to a relative’s house in some work when a group of at least five miscreants dragged her to an isolated farmland and assaulted sexually. Later they accused dumped the girl in an unconscious state at the spot.
Family members recovered the girl after a frantic search later in the same night and rushed to Tisco Hospital for treatment where her condition remains critical.
Police have detained a man on suspicion this morning from the village based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family in connection with the case.
