Clash between two groups over passing of lewd comments at Jatra in Cuttack, 1 critical

Cuttack: A clash broke out between two groups over passing of lewd comments to the Jatra artists at Tala sahi of Nuapatna, Tigiria in Cuttack district. In this incident, one sustained critical injuries and another injured.

Report says, some members of the Tigiria Belanta group came to watch Jatra and passed some lewd comments and made some obscene gestures on the Jatra artists.

On knowing about this behaviour of the Tigiria group, the Tala Sahi Jatra committee members opposed to this. Following which there was an argument between the two groups and later they started hitting each other. They vandalised the chairs at the Jatra pandal.

On being informed about the incident, the Tigiria police reached the event and began an investigation into the matter.
