Khordha: The prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure have been imposed at Banapur NAC area under Khordha district after Chilika MLA, Prasanta Kumar Jagadev was attacked by some miscreants.
Reportedly, the Khordha district administration issued notifications in this connection on Saturday evening.
The district administration has imposed Section 144 in and around the Banapur area anticipating a law and order situation for an indefinite period. The enraged locals, who were involved in the rally, attacked Jagdev, damaged his vehicle and overturned it in which he has sustained critical injuries following which he was taken for treatment to Tangi hospital and later shifted to Bhubaneswar for further treatment.
