Bhubaneswar: A man and his wife have been detained by Khandagiri Police for allegedly attempting child trafficking in the capital city of Odisha on Wednesday. They were allegedly trying to sell an eleven year old kid at a cost of Rs 20 thousand. The couple are being interrogated at Khandagiri Police Station.
As per reports, the accused couple had allegedly lifted an 11 year old kid from Jagamara area in Bhubaneswar. They had also tried to lift another 3 kids by luring them with money.
Reportedly, the kid has been rescued from Pubusahi area in Khordha with the help of the villagers. The couple was trying to shift the kid to out of the State via a private bus. However, Police nabbed them.
The rescued child has been handed over to his parents. The accused couple are facing interrogation in the police station.
