Dhenkanal: Tension ran high in Talasahi of Bhapur village under Dhenkanal Sadar Police Station area in the district on Saturday after a chicken vendor’s body was found hanging in his shop.
The deceased has been identified as Makara Danei (27).
The incident came to fore after some customers reached Danei’s thatched chicken shop located in the village in the morning and found him dead. They immediately called up Sadar Police and informed about the matter.
Separate teams of Sadar Police and Bhapur Outpost reached the spot and conducted the preliminary investigation.
Police suspects it to be a case of murder as the body was found with hands tied with a towel and both feet touching the ground.
