Nayagarh: The charred body of a woman was found at Balugaon panchayat under Nayagarh Sadar police limits on Sunday morning.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
The matter came to light after a few locals spotted the body in a forest near the village and informed the police.
It is being suspected that she was raped and then murdered.
Meanwhile, the Police have sent the body for autopsy. A probe into the matter has been initiated.
