Centurion: Yuzvendra Chahal’s five for 22 haul gave an easy win for India against South Africa in the 2nd ODI of the Momentum Series at the Super Sport Park on Sunday. India scripted the comprehensive victory by nine wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the six-match series.

After electing to bowl first, the Men in Blue bundled out the hosts for a paltry total of 118 in the first innings as the spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav ran riot. Chahal bowled 8.2 overs and took five wickets with 2.64 economy while Kuldeep bowled six overs and took 3 wickets with 3.33 economy. Likewise, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah pocketed one each wicket.

In the 2nd innings, Aiden Markram and co failed to defend their total as Shikhar Dhawan (51) and Virat Kohli (46) steered India to victory.

Kagiso Rabada got rid of Rohit Sharma (15) early on, but following his departure, the Delhi batting duo took the game to the opposition as they sealed a comfortable victory in the end.

The two teams will play the 3rd ODI in Cape Town on Wednesday.
