Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik today claimed that Odisha is being continuously neglected by the Centre.
Addressing a public meeting at Bajpayee Nagar in Salia Sahi here ahead of the flagging off of the Jan Sampark Padyatra in Bhubaneswar North Constituency, Naveen said the BJD government in the state is committed to safeguarding the interests of the people of Odisha. Government is taking all possible steps to make Odisha a developed state in the country whereas the BJP at the Centre is busy running false propaganda against the BJD, he said.
The BJD supremo claimed that the saffron party is continuously making false promises to the people of Odisha and hence would not be accepted by voters here.
The Jan Sampark Padyatra, which reached Bhubaneswar on its 7th day today, witnessed the presence of several senior leaders of BJD, including Debi Prasad Mishra, Prasanna Patsani, Ashok Chandra Panda and local MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, at the Salia Sahi meeting.
