CBSE Paper Leak: No re-exam for Class 10 maths paper

New Delhi: In a big sigh of relief to the students affected by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) re-examination decision and paper leaks, the CBSE on Tuesday decided not to conduct class 10 Mathematics re-exams.

The CBSE’s decision came after conducting an evaluation of the answer sheets. The CBSE officials are likely to make the official announcement of the new development later in the day.

The CBSE had announced that it will hold re-test of class 12 Economics paper on April 25, but had refrained from declaring a date for class 10 students on the grounds that it is waiting to assess the impact of the alleged leak.

Around 14 lakh students had appeared the class 10 maths examination.

CBSE had first announced that it will hold re-test of the class 10 mathematics paper and class 12 Economics paper after news of paper leak came to the fore. It had let to huge public outrage across the country.
