CBSE board exams for Class X and XII begins in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The CBSE Class X and Class XII Board examinations for 2018 started in the state today amid much enthusiasm among the students in the Bhubaneswar Region. A total of 77,708 Class X students and 66,367 Class XII students from Bhubaneswar Region are appearing in the examination this year.

An official statement issued by the CBSE on Sunday informed that exams would be conducted across 228 centres this year for Class X in the Bhubaneswar Region, in which students of at least 927 schools would write for the test. Similarly, for Class XII, exams would be conducted across 219 centres and students of 675 schools would sit for the tests. While the board examination for Class X will end on April 4, it would continue till April 13 for Class XII.

A total of 154 differently abled examinees are appearing for class X examinations this year in Bhubaneswar Region which comprises of Odisha, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh States. Similarly, 119 PWDs candidates are writing for the Class XII examinations.

Ample arrangements for the examination have been made by the school authorities in Bhubaneswar where the tests are being held. The centre authorities are taking all care to make the examination a trouble free affair for the students. Such arrangements have been made in association with the state authorities and local police.

A total of 28, 24,734 students are appearing for Class X and XII tests across the country this year. Among them 16, 38,428 candidates are writing for Class X and 11, 86,306 candidates are appearing for Class XII.
