Cattle-Laden Container Trucks Seized, Over 195 Cows Rescued In Odisha

Bhadrak: The Odisha police rescued more than 195 cattle from two container trucks on National Highway 16 near Ranital square in Bhadrak district of Odisha.

According to reports, three container trucks were illegally transporting the cattle to West Bengal from the state.

The locals got the information from a reliable source and stopped the vehicles on NH 16, due to which the mafias who were illegally transporting the cattle attacked the people. As a result, three people sustained critical injuries.

On getting the information, the Bhadrak police arrived at the spot. Till the police arrived at the spot, the mafias had already fled from the spot in a container truck. The injured people have been admitted to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) in Bhadrak.

Hence the other two trucks have been seized by the cops. More than 195 cows have been rescued from the seized vehicles.
