Jeypore: Vigilance sleuth today detained the Malkangiri Civil Supplies Officer (CSO) Abhimanyu Mohanty after unaccounted cash worth Rs 1.91 lakh was found from his vehicle.
Vigilance officials said that they intercepted the vehicle of Mohanty when he was on his way to Jeypore from Malkangiri.
“During the inspection of the vehicle, the cash was recovered. The official, however, failed to give any satisfactory explanation about possession of the cash. He has been detained and we are further interrogating him,” said an official of the anti-corruption agency.
