Case registered against newly married woman for running away after cheating & looting husband in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Bharatpur Police in Bhubaneswar registered a case against the newly married woman who allegedly absconded with cash and valuables after her wedding.

The Bharatpur Police reportedly registered a case against the woman under sections 420, 120 & 406 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

It is to be noted here that the woman, a native of the Puri district, reportedly tied the knot with a resident of the Bharatpur area on May 12. However, she allegedly looted gold ornaments and lakhs of rupees from her in-laws’ house and absconded on the following day.

The woman’s in-laws also alleged that she had made a video call to her lover on the first night of her marriage. However, her husband reportedly caught her red-handed.

On the other hand, she denied the allegations and levelled allegations of torture against her husband and in-laws.
