Carcasses of 3 wild boars found from abandoned well in Banki

Banki: In a shocking incident, carcasses of at least three wild boars have been recovered from an abandoned well in Nuagaon village under Banki police limits in Cuttack district on Sunday.

Some residents of Nuagaon village came across a foul smell emanating from the well located near an isolated place in the morning and reached the spot out of curiosity. They found the decomposed body of at least three boars inside the well.

Getting an intimation Banki forest officials and fire services personnel reached the spot and recovered the carcasses from the well to rush for autopsy.

While the officials are investigating the matter, locals have claimed that wild boars in large numbers are damaging crops in the area for past few months.
