Baripada: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted cash of Rs 1.95 lakh from Maruti showroom near Masjid Chhak under Udala police limits in Mayurbhanj district late last night.
The matter came to light this morning after the showroom was opened when the employees found documents lying scattered in the showroom. They immediately informed the police which made a spot visit.
Police found the miscreants of breaking into the showroom through bathroom skylight. The miscreants too broke open a drawer and decamped with the cash and important documents.
“We have started an investigation after getting a formal complaint. We are also trying to ascertain the involvement of any veteran criminals in the incident,” said a police official.
