Cuttack: In a tragic incident, two people are critically injured in a car accident in Barik Sahi near Imamnagar area of Jagatpur in Cuttack district of Odisha at around 10 pm on Sunday night.
It is to be noted that the tragedy took place at the wedding of Baidhar Behera’s son, resident of Imamnagar.
The driver was in an inebriated state hence he crashed the car into the on-going marriage function in which 11 people sustained injuries and two people are critical.
Among the injured there were a nine year old boy and a six year old girl present in the marriage function. Reportedly, the car involved in the accident belongs to one of the relatives present in the wedding party.
Later, the locals thrashed the drunken driver and decided to hand him over to the police.
On getting the information, the Jagatpur police arrived at the spot, seized the car and arrested the driver.
