Angul: Driver of a car had a narrowly escaped as his car caught fire accidentally after the silencer of the vehicle came in contact with a dry branch in Odisha’s Angul district today.
According to reports, silencer of the car accidentally came in contact with a dry branch that had fallen on the road following which a fire broke out and the vehicle caught fire near Banamira village. The four-wheeler was on its way to Bantala from Khindari.
Sources said that driver of the vehicle was going on driving as he was unaware about the fire. However, some locals alerted him following which he got out of the car immediately.
Later, the villagers along with the driver doused the inferno and averted a major mishap.
