Bargarh: A Balangir based businessman was injured after miscreants opened fire at him near Bargarh town late last night.
The victim identified as Sachin Agrawal (26) is currently undergoing treatment at Bargarh District Headquarters Hospital.
The victim said that he was on his way to Bargarh on his motorcycle when miscreants opened fire at him. Agrawal has sustained bullet injuries on his palm and thigh.
Though the exact motive behind the crime is yet to be ascertained, police suspect past enmity as the reason behind the attack.
“We have started an investigation after registering a case. We have also recorded the statement of the victim,” said a police official.
