Khordha: The driver of a truck has been killed in a bus-truck collision near bypass road on National Highway 16 under Tangi police limits in Khordha district of Odisha.
According to reports, the vehicles from both the ways were travelling on the same route as the road work was underway. The passenger bus was en-route to Odisha from Kerala when it collided head on with a truck in which some odia labourers sustained minor injuries.
On getting the information, Tangi police arrived at the spot and rescued the passengers. They have been sent to their home by another passenger bus.
The cops have initiated an investigation into the matter and the rescue operation of the truck driver is underway. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
