Bhanjanagar: In yet another shocking road mishap in the State, one passenger was killed and over 10 others sustained injuries after a bus carrying them overturned near Bori village under Gangpur police limits in Ganjam district on Thursday.
As per the report, the bus had been hired by a family from Tanarada village for a marriage ring ceremony which was being held in Bori village. En-route to the venue the driver of the bus lost control over the wheels causing the vehicle to overturn into a roadside field.
While one Gobardhan Jena was killed following the accident others boarding the bus sustained injuries and remained trapped inside it.
Getting intimation, Gangpur Police rushed to the spot and rescued the victims from the mangled bus. They were later rushed to Bhanjanagar and Aska hospitals for treatment.
The incident is currently under investigation.
