Khordha: In a tragic incident, one person has been killed and more than 10 have sustained injuries as a passenger bus collided with a truck near Gadakhordha, on NH 16, in Khordha on Tuesday.
Reportedly, the passenger bus, named Om Shanti, carrying around 40 passengers was en route to Buguda in Ganjam district from Bhubaneswar. The bus collided with a truck from behind.
As a result, one person lost his life on the spot whose identity is yet to be ascertained.
On getting the information Khordha police along with fire fighters arrived at the spot and rescued the injured. They were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The body of the deceased was sent for post mortem procedure.
A probe has been initiated by the cops into the collision.
