Bhubaneswar: As many as 32 passengers including several Odia labourers had a narrow escape as the bus in which they were traveling caught fire in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
The passenger bus reportedly caught fire at around 4 PM on National Highway-5 near Payakaraopeta of Visakhapatnam.
While the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be known, it is suspected the inferno might have been caused due to a short-circuit.
The vehicle turned into ashes before it was controlled by the firefighters after more than one hour of their hard work, said sources.
The bus was on its way to Goa, added the sources.
