Ganjam: The famous Maa Budhi Thakurani Jatra of Berhampur in Ganjam district of Odisha has been concluded yesterday. The Jatra had begun on April 9.
The Thakurani Jatra was limited to a fixed number of devotees and members of the temple due to rise in Covid positives.
The Jatra continued over a period of 11 days. Prohibitory orders under CrPC Section 144 had been imposed in Berhampur City from 6 pm to 10 pm in order to prevent crowd during the Thakurani Jatra.
As many as 10 platoons of police force had been deployed under the supervision of senior police officers to keep a check on Covid SOPs that had been issued for the festival.
