Budget Session Of Odisha Assembly to Start Today

Bhubaneswar: The budget session of the Odisha Assembly will begin today. The session will be conducted in two phases. This time around, the three main political parties (BJD, BJP and Congress) are gearing up for the session.

The strategy has been finalized. There was no question hour in the winter session due to Covid restrictions, but this time around the session has a question hour. So the discussions in the Session are expected to be intense.

From border disputes to internal law and order, from farmers to farm land issues, the issue of wage increases may arise. Meanwhile, the BJD is going to make central negligence a major issue.

The working hours will last 5 hours a day. The first phase will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. Similarly, the second phase will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On the 22nd, Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the budget for the financial year 2021-22.

There shall be a three-tier security arrangement around the State Assembly. 30 platoons of police forces shall be deployed around the premises.

100 senior police officers have been given the charge of security. They will be overseen by the DCP who has been given the overall charge of the security arrangements.

The roads leading to the Assembly have been sealed to prevent any untoward event.
