Malkangiri: A new Company Operating Base (COB) of the Border Security Force (BSF) has been set up at Ghanabera under Panasput gram panchayat in Swabhimaan Anchal of Malkangiri district. The new COB was established by troops of BSF.
Reportedly, Ghanabera is a highly Maoist affected area of Swabhimaan Anchal on the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border.
The new COB was established in the presence of Sanjay Kumar Singh, DIG, SHQ Malkangiri, and Prahalad S Meena, SP Malkangiri.
Among others, BSF Malkangiri sector headquarters DIG Sanjay Kumar Singh and BSF 9th Battalion Commandant RS Minz were present on the occasion. With this, a total of four COBs have been set up in Swabhimaan Anchal.
