Balasore: Tightening the noose around the necks of illegal drug traders, Jaleswar Police arrested one person and seized brown sugar weighing 50 gram from his possession by conducting a raid in Sekhbad area here this morning.
The held peddler has been identified as a resident of the same locality.
Acting on a tip-off a team of Jaleswar Police led by SDPO Ankita Kumbhar raided a house in Sekhbad area in the wee hours at around 4.30 am and seized the banned drug packet. Later, the peddler was taken into custody.
The seized drug will cost around Rs 50 lakh, said police.
Further investigation is underway into the case.
