Bhubaneswar: Tightening the noose around the necks of illegal drug traders in the capital city Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested a drug peddler from Mancheswar area and seized 52 grams of brown sugar from his possession.
The identification of the held peddler is yet to be made by police.
Acting upon a tip-off a team of Commissionerate Police raided a location in the industrial area. During the search it came across the peddler possessing the illegal drug and seized those.
Police said, the seized brown sugar will cost well over Rs 5 lakh.
A case under NDPS Act was lodged against the accused before his forwarding to court.
