Jaleswar: The Jaleswar Police has seized 20 grams of brown sugar during a raid in Jaleswar town of Balasore district in Odisha today.
Reports suggest that, a team of police personnel led by Jaleswar IIC conducted a raid in Jhadeswarpur slum area of the town. The police team seized brown sugar worth Rs 2 lakhs from the house of Sheikh Shakir, a suspected drug peddler.
Sakir fled the spot before arrival of the police team. The cops have however held the minor son of Sakir and are questioning him about the whereabouts of his father.
Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to nab Sakir.
