Sundargarh: Odisha police on Thursday arrested two drug peddlers and seized 35.9 grams of brown sugar in Sundargarh, informed SP Sagarika Nath in a press conference.
The two drug dealers have been identified to be from Nala Road area of Rourkela.
Reportedly, Sundargarh Police has been conducting raids against brown sugar all over the town. Acting on a tip-off, Sundargarh Police intercepted the two youths after they arrived in Sundargarh and were planning to distribute the drugs among five others.
The estimated cost of the brown sugar is worth over Rs 1.5 Lakh. Along with brown sugar, a bike and some papers have also been seized from their possession.
The police has also identified five more people in town station area involved in this case. Sundargarh Police has further informed that they will be arrested soon.
