Balasore: The Police have seized over 600 gms of brown sugar from Rajpur Basti under Jaleswar police limits of Balasore and detained a woman in this connection.
The value of the seized contraband is estimated at around Rs 60 lakh.
Acting on a tip-off, the Jaleswar police along with SDPO Ankita Kumbhar, IIC Pragyan Mohanty and 20-member team conducted a raid at Rajpur basti and seized more than 600 gms of brown sugar, some incriminating materials from the possession of the woman.
Later, the Jaleswar police have detained the woman for further questioning and have started a probe into the matter.
