Balasore: In a major drug haul, the excise officials from Bhograi busted an illegal narcotics den at Kamarda area in Jaleswar on last night and recovered 260 gms of brown sugar worth Rs 26 lakh and arrested one person in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, the excise officials along with the Jaleswar police team conducted a raid at Kamarda area and seized brown sugar worth 26 lakh. Yesterday a video went viral on social media dealing in brown sugar in a shop on NH-57 in Kamarda area.
The arrested person has been identified as Ambu Das.
During the interrogation, the accused person reportedly could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which he was arrested
