Bargarh: A 25-year-old youth and his 20-year-old sister were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their home in Singhapali village under Attabira police limits of Bargarh district this morning. The reason behind their deaths is yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, Dasarathi Meher’s son Bikash Meher and daughter Minati Meher went to sleep in one of the rooms of their house along with their younger sister Ankita after dinner yesterday night.
Ankita got up around 5 AM to attend nature’s call. She called Minati to accompany her. However, she was surprised after not getting respond from her even after five minutes. Later, she moved to her brother but after finding him unconscious she alerted her parents.
On being informed by Ankita, Dasarathi along with other family members rushed to the spot and attempted to wake them-up. Later, they called the local police after knowing that they were dead,
Attabira police seized the bodies and sent them to the hospital for postmortem. Besides, they started an investigation into the matter.
A pall of gloom descended on the village following the death of the siblings as they died just two days before the Raksha Bandhan, a festival of faith and love between brother and sister.
