Anandpur: Adding to the rain woes of locals in Anandpur block of Keonjhar district the bridge over Fafudia canal collapsed after being hit by floodwater last night.
The incident took place late last night after the water level in the canal witnessed a rise following incessant rain in the district since September 6.
Following the collapse of the bridge road communication between Sarei and Anandpur was cut off leaving residents of 7-8 villages isolated.
Locals have blamed district administration’s apathy for the bridge collapse as it had been made on the road constructed by Public Works Department (PWD) a few years back.
