Brave women save youth from crocodile’s mouth in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara: With the presence of mind and timely act, two bold women helped a youth to escape narrowly from being swallowed by a crocodile at Nipania village under Mahakalapada Tehsil of the district this morning.

According to reports, one Kinaram Mandal of the village had gone to a nearby river to attend nature’s call this morning. However, a crocodile, which Mandal had not seen, suddenly attacked him and tried to drag him into the water by catching him on his right hand.

After hearing Mandal’s cries for help, two women who were fishing near the spot dragged him out of the mouth of the crocodile.

Mandal who sustained injuries on his hand has been admitted to Ramnagar hospital for treatment. His condition is stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, fear gripped the area following the incident as the locals depend on the river for their daily use.
