Keonjhar: In a tragic incident, a young couple allegedly committed suicide as their family members opposed to their love affairs, while the girlfriend condition is critical and boy dies in the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Chaitan Kisan (20) and the critical has been identified as Jhunu Kisan (18) and they both hail from Golabandha village under Telkoi police limits.
Reports said, the couple was in love with each other for some years and on Sunday when the family members rejected their love, the duo chose to embrace death by consuming poison.
The family members immediately admitted them to the Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment. Later, the boy succumbed while undergoing treatment, while the health condition of the girl is critical.
On receiving information, the police reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy.
