Puri: Some unidentified miscreants have hurled bombs in Puri city ahead of Panchayat Elections in Odisha on Thursday.
Reportedly, two bombs have been blast place near a Sarpanch candidate’s house near Basantei Thakurani temple in Kashi Haripur in Puri. The bombs were kept in a bag before the explosion.
On getting the information, Sadar police have arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
From the preliminary investigation, it is being suspected that the bombing took place in relation to the upcoming three-tier Panchayat Election.
The exact cause behind the bomb blast is yet to be ascertained.
