Dhenkanal: Four persons of a family were killed in a Bolero-truck collision on NH-55 near Nadhara Chowk under Motanga police limits in the district on Monday
A speeding truck hit the ill-fated Bolero killing two persons on the spot.
On being informed, local police and fire fighters arrived on the spot and pulled out all the five persons trapped in the vehicle with the help of the locals, but found two persons dead.
The other three critically injured were rushed to the District Headquarter hospital where two were declared dead on arrival. The remaining one injured is undergoing treatment.
A manhunt has been launched to arrest the driver of the truck who absconded soon after the accident.
Police identified both the deceased and the injured as residents of Landijhari village in Deogarh district.
