Bogies Of Visakha Express Detach In Odisha, No Harm To Passengers

Khordha: A major mishap was averted after a few bogies of Bhubaneswar- Secunderabad Visakha Express got detached from its engine near Balugaon railway station in the district today. However no one was injured in the incident.

Railway officials said that the loco pilot informed that pressure is being dropped to pull the train at 10.23 am.

“During inspection it was found that train uncoupled between AC-2 tier and S-1 coach. The problem was sorted out between Balugaon and Chilka by coach maintenance staffs,” said an official.

The official further added that the incident took place due to a defect in a particular locking arrangement joining two coaches.  “The train is being escorted by coach repairing staffs and it will be inspected at regular intervals,” added the official.
