Keonjhar: Mystery shrouded the death of a youth whose body was found hanging from a tree in Basudevpur forest under Maidankel panchayat of Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
The incident came to light after some locals who visited the jungle in some work came across the body this morning and called up police.
The deceased whose identity is not known is believed to be in his 30s. As his feet were seen touching the ground, locals have suspected a foul play in the case.
Multiple injury marks were also found on the body of the deceased signifying that, miscreants might have killed him somewhere else and later brought to the forest to hang.
Local police have rushed to the spot to carry out the investigation.
