Puri: A youth’s dead body was found from Puri Main Canal cyphon near Balakati area close to Pipili in the district today morning.
The deceased has been identified as Robin Das of Unit-9 area in State capital Bhubaneswar.
Some locals who were taking bath at the Balakati cyphon in the morning spotted the body floating in the water and rang up local police.
Balianta Police rushed to the spot and seized the body for autopsy after fishing it out from the canal.
The deceased had come across the mishap while taking bath along with two of his friends at the Balianta cyphon of the Puri Main Canal yesterday. While bystanders saved the lives of two, Robin remained untraceable.
