Jajpur: Panic gripped Barachana block of Jajpur district after the dead body of a physically challenged man was recovered from a pond on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Yudhistir Sahu. According to reports, he was missing since Tuesday evening.
The matter came to light when a few villagers spotted his body floating in the pond early this morning.
From the injury marks on various parts of his body, it is being suspected that Sahu was murdered and his body dumped into the pond to conceal the crime.
Meanwhile, the Police has seized the body and sent it for autopsy. Further investigation is underway.
