Sambalpur: The body of the girl who had gone missing while taking a bath in Mahanadi river near Badabazar in the town on Sunday was found today.
The deceased has been identified as Pinki Biswakarma. The Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) recovered her body near the second bridge over Mahanadi in the town.
Pinki was among the group of six minor girls who were swept away in the river current. While five of them were rescued immediately after the mishap, Pinki was missing since then.
District administration officials said that the body has been handed over to the family members of the deceased.
