Cuttack: The body of a 21-year-old girl was found from a well at Rahania village under Mahanga police limits in Cuttack district of Odisha.
The deceased has been identified as Jyotipriya Nayak, daughter of Surendra Nayak.
According to reports, Jyotipriya went missing from her home on Thursday night. The locals spotted her body lying in her neighbour’s well and informed her family about the same.
Thereafter the Kuanpala fire fighters reached at the spot and recovered the body from the well.
On getting the information, Mahanga police arrived at the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
It is still uncertain whether the death of the girl was a murder or a suicide. The reason of the death is yet to be ascertained.
