Dhenkanal: The body of a minor girl has been found from near Sadar police station in Dhenkanal district of Odisha and one person has been detained in this connection. The minor belongs to Khaira area of Balasore district.
The accused has been identified as Jitu Nayak of Nuagaon village.
According to reports, the minor’s family had filed a missing complaint at Khaira police station on Thursday.
On the basis of the complaint, the cops initiated an investigation and informed the family about the deceased after recovering the body.
The family has alleged that the minor has been kidnapped and killed.
A joint of team of Dhenkanal Sadar police and Khaira police have initiated a probe into the matter to ascertain the cause of the death. One person has been detained by the team for further questioning.
