Rourkela: A decomposed body was today found from the cabin of a parked truck near a petrol pump at Rajgangpur in Sundargarh district. Police have started an investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
Police said that few locals noticed the body lying in the cabin of the truck having Chhattisgarh registration number. “Preliminary investigation revealed the truck of transporting carbon blocks from Champa in Chhattisgarh to a steel plant in Rourkela. We are also trying to contact the owner of the truck,’ said a police official.
Police have also sent the body for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death. “Employees of the nearby petrol pump are also not aware of the time when the truck was parked,” added the police official.
