Bodies of 2 sisters found hanging at home in Odisha’s Maryurbhanj district

Rairangpur: In a tragic incident, the bodies of two cousin sisters were recovered hanging at their house in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. The incident took place in Kumrum village under Tiring Police limits of the district.

The deceased persons have been identified as  Manisha Alada of Sana Kumrum village and her cousin sister Sunita Badra of Lagala village of Jharkhand.

As per reports, Manisha’s cousin sister Sunita (Father’s sister’s daughter) was living in the former’s house in Odisha for the last few days in Sana Kumrum village.

On Thursday, when the other members of the family were out for works, the two sisters were at home along with a kid. After some time, neighbours tried to open the locked door of the house after hearing cry of the kid. However, as the door was locked from inside they broke the door and found the bodies of the two sisters were hanging.

After getting information from the locals Police rushed to the spot, seized the bodies and sent to Rairangpur hospital for autopsy.

While the reason behind death of the two sisters is yet to be ascertained, further investigation of the case is underway.

A pal of gloom has descended in the area following the sad demise of the two sisters.
