Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) & FSSAI (Food Safety & Standards Authority of India) raided at a bakery unit near Shriya Talkies in the capital city of Odisha.
The BMC and FSSAI (Food Safety & Standards Authority of India) officials conducted a raid following allegations that its bakery products have no mention of the manufacturing date.
We conducted a surprise visit to a bakery unit near Shriya Talkies and found that the products had ‘best before date’ printed on the packs and have not mentioned the manufacturing date, we have warned them and will sent them a notice regarding the violation, We have imposed Rs 3000 fine under the Food Safety & Standard Act, informed FSSAI officer.
