Blood Bank Employees withdraw stir in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The All Odisha Blood Bank Employees’ Association decided to withdraw its ongoing cease work agitation across Odisha on Tuesday. This was informed by the association’s president Anil Mohanty.

Mohanty said that they decided to call off their strike following the assurance from Odisha Health Minister Pratap Jena, who promised to look into the matter.

Notably, hundreds of officials, technicians and other support officials of blood banks across the state have been staging protests demanding regularisation of their jobs and other benefits since November 26. The blood transfusion facilities were badly hit due to their strike.
